LAT is seeking a Translation Coodinator.

Job Description

The person we are looking for will play a key role at LAT. Our coordinator will be responsible for file preparation, job assignment and coordination, as well as linguistic tasks, always with a strong focus on our stringent quality standards. He or she will also keep an eye on the bottom line for his or her projects and will adopt a proactive approach regarding processes and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

Customer requests

  • Prepare work for translators, freelancers, DTP specialists, etc.
  • Assign work effectively to internal and external vendors while ensuring client requirements are met
  • Coordinate with different parties and perform necessary follow-ups to ensure timely deliveries

Operational excellence

  • Support the team with various tasks, such as translation, quality assurance and final formatting, as needed, to ensure that deliverables are client-ready
  • Optimize our processes to improve profitability and the quality of our services

Key skills

  • Bachelor degree in Translation or a related field
  • Bilingual (French and English), knowledge of a third language is an asset
  • Versatile, organized and methodical
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Windows environment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of translation tools
  • One year of experience in coordination and translation, ideally in a translation agency (an asset)
  • Ability to multitask and evolve in a context of changing priorities
  • Excellent written communication in both languages
  • Positive attitude
