It all started in October 1999, when Future Shop—acquired by Best Buy in 2015—was expanding into the Quebec market. As Canada’s largest electronics retailer, they were launching their e-store and needed to comply with Quebec’s language regulations. This demand for translating millions of words in a very short timeline marked the beginning of LAT.

Founded as L.A. Translations & Design, the organization initially focused on providing English to French translations to companies wishing to sell to the Quebec market. Over the years, LAT has grown and evolved to provide translation services to a variety of industries, in most languages. Today, we are proudly helping clients reach new markets all over the world!

Given the growing importance of social media and digital marketing for our clients, we became LAT Multilingual Translation & Marketing in 2013. This new entity reflects the expansion of our services, which now include cultural marketing.
